Tour Program Itinerary

This program is preliminary and is subject to change depending from weather and ice conditions.

Day 1. Arrival to Helsinki.
Meeting at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Meeting with our expedition representative in the lobby.

Day 2. Charter flight Helsinki-Murmansk flight and embarkation on the icebreaker.
After a short tour of Helsinki downtown we will transfer you to the airport for your Helsinki-Murmansk charter flight (2 hours). Arrival to Murmansk, transfer from the airport to the biggest in the world “50 Years of Victory” icebreaker. Departuring from Murmansk to North Pole via Kola Bay. Your North Pole trip started!

Day 3. The Barents Sea.
Your trip across the Barents Sea. Expedition briefing and safety instruction while you aboard and for you off board tours.
Special lectures about the icebreaker and visit to the engine room to be finally impressed.

Days 4 - 6. Voyage to the North Pole.
During the trip to the North Pole you will have an opportunity to see the great Arctic landscapes from the deck and also to be impressed of the power of this ship breaking huge ice fields wich are standing on your way to the North Pole.

The great must do helicopter adveture will follow the program of your North Pole tour. Depending from weather and ice conditions we will arrange for you a helicopter flight from the deck under the icebreaker! You will see your ship moving to your goal and you will understand how is difficult your expedition to arrange.
Great and exclusive photos of the ship and Arctic are guaranteed from the helicopter.

Day 7. Arrival to the The North Pole.
The icebreaker will stand at exactly 90ºN. You at the Geographical North Pole! Congratulations!

Disembarking from the ship. You will feel the moment of your first step at the Top of the Earth! After this we will dance the traditional Round Dance with all international expedition members!
Great time for photo session, this moment is the main in your North Pole expedition!

We will follow you with North Pole barbecue dinner and as an option you can swim in the Arctic Ocean.

Days 8 - 11. The Islands and Archipelagos of the Russian Arctic.
Depending from weather and ice conditions exploration of the Franz Josef Land Archipelago is included in the North tour program.

The Franz Josef Land Archipelago it's:
- 190 islands of moon craters. The second name of this place is “Moon Archipelago”,
- Living area of polar bears, arctic birds and walruses,
- Champ Island - a unique and one time in life opportunity to make pictures of this place with natural beauty.

Days 12 - 14. Barents Sea on the Back Way.
A three day journey back to Murmansk. During this period you can discuss your North Pole travel impressions with your new friend, crew members, etc. Good moment for sharing of the best photos of this North Pole expedition. Also you can spend your time at the icebreaker facilities – volleyball court , gym or table tennis room. You can relax at sauna and pool to be warm after cold of the North Pole. Or you can arrange some drink or dinner in the ship's lounge and bar. Spending time with a interesting book in the ship's library is also possible.
Arrival to Murmansk, disembarkation.

You back flight from Murmansk to Helsinki.
The last evening of the expedition in the capital of Finland.

Day 15. Departing from Helsinki.
Your back flight to home after some breakfast in the hotel.
You did it! Your North Pole expedition completed!
