Your detailed day at "Sokol" Airbase with flight in MIG-29 fighter jet

Your MiG flight could be one of the most wonderful days in your life and one of the best tours to Russia.

Please, see the detailed schedule of the Day of your Dream:

9 am - 9:30 am – you will be welcomed in your Alexandrovsky Garden Hotel reception by our English speaking staff. Your Russian MIG-29 flight program will start. You will be chauferred to Sokol Airbase in one of our luxury cars. During the trip, you will pass the historical downtown area of Nizhny Novgorod.

9:30 am – 9:45 am – arrival at Sokol Airbase gates, with security check procedure. It will be necessary for you to have your passport and migration card ready. Photo and video cameras are prohibited from entering the base. So, we strongly recommended to purchase your unforgettable movie from our company and have a great record of your MiG-29 flight in Russia.

9:45 am – 10:30 am – transfer from Sokol gates to Sokol Airbase Museum for a guided tour guided tour.

The museum is located inside the airbase and available exclusively for our clients. You could not visit it just coming in from the street. The museum is a separate building with 2 floors. In front of museum, you can see the real older aircraft–La7, MiG-15, MiG-17, MiG-21, MiG-29, MiG-25.

The first floor of museum is devoted to the history of the company from its inception in 1932, to-date, including World War II.

The second floor describes the manufacturing processes of the aircraft from raw material through to the flight tests.

The museum should be most interesting for aviation fans. Welcome to our mini – Monino museum!

10:30 am – 11:00 am – transfer to the Sokol runway and the flight station for your MiG-29 aerobatic maneuvers flight, plus meeting with the pilots and instructors.

During instructors’ briefing, you will be informed about flight program, you can voice your preferences and we will do our best to satisfy them.

11:00 am – 11:15 am – Medical check.
Our doctors will check your blood-pressure and your general health conditions. A special medical check in advance is not required.

11:15 am – 11:30 am – you will go to the dressing room to put on your flight suit. For your MiG-29 Edge of Space flight you will be put in a special pressure or G-suit. Here, you will also be shown how to use your helmet and oxygen mask. All the processes will be recorded by our camera man.

11:30 am - 12:00 am Real MiG Ejection seat training.

12:00 am – 12:30 am – trip to the runway, together with your instructor, for your personal MiG-29 flight.

The instructor will explain all the instruments and radio communications to you, as well as details about the aircraft, and in the MiG-29 cockpit. After all explanations, the canopy will close, the aircraft systems will be checked on the ground.

Now you are ready for show time!!!

12:30 am – SHOW TIME. Depending on your flight program you will spend 25 to 50 minutes in the air flying the MiG flight of your dream! You will feel the power of the aircraft, just after take off and the speed will be extreme! Ready for maneuvers?

Welcome!!! But first, our pilot will check your condition with small G-force, increasing it according to your reactions. If you are ok – the airshow starts! Loops, rolls, inverse loops, turns, etc., amazing Tail slide, Hummer and Pugachevs Cobra to finish off! Of course, you will pass sound barrier with speeds from 1.1 to 2.5 Mach depending on the MiG-29 aircraft and flight program!

If you are flying to the Edge of Space you will receive a view of a lifetime! Black sky, brilliant stars and bluish sphere of the Earth will be so near at that altitude of 65,000 feet! You are now at the Edge of Space! Your dream has come true! Your trip to Russia is real! Now you are a real pilot of the famous MiG-29!

Here, at an altitude of 65,000 feet and speed of Mach 2.5 you will understand that you made right choice to fly Edge of Space in Russia! Because if you compare with Edge of Space in Capetown, South Africa using British Electric Lightings the Thunder city planes are much older and not modern aircraft, their speed and altitude is less and you are not as close to the stars!

Your pictures and video will be sent to you by express mail within 4 days from Russia with love to be shown to everybody!!!

approx. 1:30 pm 1:45 pm – landing on the runway. After the canopy opens, you climb to the ground and see just how big our planet is, which seemed so small from the Space view. You will receive special professional photos, with your pilot standing in front of the MiG fighter for a wonderful memory of your tour to Russia. But it’s not the end of the program at Sokol airbase…!

1:45 pm – 2:30 – after changing again, you can relax and take a shower after your exhilerating MiG flight and get ready for a special ceremony. Our pilots and all the staff of the Sokol Airbase will present you a personal Certificate, confirming your MiG-29 flight during your trip to Russia. All MiG flight parameters will be written on the Certificate. If you are a pilot and have your own flight book–a special signature will be confirming your flight hour on legendary MiG fighter! Of course, this historic moment will be included in your MiG flight movie and photo album.

2:30 pm – 2:45 pm – you can say "Good bye" to the Sokol staff ready to return for your next MiG flight. Now your are the part of our family!

You will be escorted to company gates and then to your hotel. It’s a good time to celebrate your MiG flight in a Russian restaurant with real Russian vodka! Jet flight with Russian vodka after – a wonderful mix for your Russian trip. A Nizhny Novgorod downtown tour can be organized on your request.

After this beautiful and hard day you will be escorted by our staff to your hotel for a well-deserved rest, and, perhaps, you will dream anew and come to Russia again, for your next trip!
