If you want to confirm that the Earth really is a sphere we offer you a chance to have a breathtaking flight at speed faster than the sound-barrier in a Russian MiG-31 jet fighter. You will see the Earth from the plane’s maximum altitude between 21 and 23 km. You will see the sharp boundary between stark black space the beautiful blue sky and feel the adrenaline in your blood as you reach the Edge of Space at supersonic speeds!

MiG-31 jet fighter flights to an altitude of 21-23 km are officially provided in Sokol airbase for more than 10 years for both Russian and foreign tourists.

In the past, only astronauts and military pilots' had the opportunity of looking at the Earth from the stratosphere, but, nowadays, anyone, who has enough money, can reach the edge of space. According our clients’ experiences, we are sure that the view of limitless space, the striking brilliance of the Sun and cool-looking blue Earth will affect you for the rest of your life! – it is definitely the Edge of Space!

The adventure "Edge of space" in a MiG-31 fighter jet should last 3 hours. The flight preparation procedures take half an hour. You can talk with the pilot about the flight’s program; have a blood-pressure check, don a special pressure-suit and a helmet with an oxygen mask. When ready, you will be ferried to the airfield for an inspection of your unique aircraft which is the envy of world’s aircraft industry. Under the supervision and assistance of the pilot, you will be expected to check all plane’s moving parts and the air-surfaces. Your pilot will explain the functions of all the cockpit displays and instrumentation to you, in detail and receive instructions how to behave in case of emergency.

The flight to stratosphere lasts for about 40-45 minutes from the moment of taking-off until landing. The Edge of Space flight is flexible and the pilot may adjust the program according to how you are feeling. Please do not think that these flights are only for physically strong young men. We have substantial experience of organizing such flights for 65-year old men, as well as for women of all ages, all of who have coped well with all the different G-loads and loved the experience.
