Cosmonautics Day in Russia
On the 12th of April Cosmonautics Day will be celebrated in Russia. This day on the 12th of April 1961 soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin launched in a spaceship “Vostok” from Cosmodrome Baikonur and it was the first in-orbit flight of the Earth. The near-earth flight lasted for 108 minutes and Yuri Gagarin became the first man in the world to have left left the Earth. It was one of the greatest achievements not only among soviet people but for the whole history of Mankind.
