   The Original Astronaut Training for land survival

 (Tour – 5 days/4 nights, Training – 48 hours, Location – Moscow and the Star City, Season – winter)

 

        An extreme type of Astronaut Training is the land training for survival and rescue.

       Together with the specialists of the Cosmonaut Training Centre you will spend 48 unforgettable hours in a Soyuz spacecraft descent module capsule in the forest not far from Moscow.

       Although the land survival training may seem simple and easy, not even each candidate to become a cosmonaut can boast of having performed this training.

      The major tasks of survival training are:

- to psychologically prepare cosmonauts or future cosmonauts for actions in case of their possible stay outside the nominal landing site within 2-3 days after off-nominal landing under extreme environmental stress of a marshy - wooded area;

- to work out practical skills of the crew on maintaining work capacity and preserving their lives during their independent stay in difficult physical-geographic conditions with rational use of the descent capsule equipment, portable emergency kit, regular harness, improvised materials on the terrain;

- to master skillful interaction of the crewmembers with the search and rescue complex.

 

    Specialists of the Cosmonaut Training Centre will arrange for future cosmonauts, who want to take part in this training, all conditions imitating actions of the crew after landing of the aircraft in a strange area.

 

    During this training space tourists will work out following practical skills:

- use of a portable emergency kit, a space suit, an emergency radio station, blinkers;

- cosmonaut’s actions after landing: you will have to take off your space suit inside the descent module capsule and change into flight suits, choose a place for camping, build a camp, make a fire.

 

Training 48 hours in very hard and extreme conditions you will be able to lose 3-8 kg of your weight!

 

          Tour «The Original Astronaut Training for land survival»:

 

  First day: Meeting at the Moscow International airport «Sheremetevo». Transfer and accommodation in a hotel. Moscow city tour.

 Second day: Transfer to the Star City. Medical inspection. Meeting with experts and leaders of the Cosmonaut Training Centre. Transfer to the place of practical training for land survival at the Cosmonaut Training Centre territory. Specialists will show you all practical skills, which you will work out by you own during the program of survival (you will have to take off your space suit inside the descent module capsule and change into flight suits, choose a place for camping, build a camp, make a fire). Transfer to the hotel. Free time.

Third-forth day: Transfer to the Star City. The Original Astronaut Training for land survival according to the program (48 hours).

 Fifth day: The end of the program in the morning. Transfer to the Cosmonaut Training Centre. Medical inspection. Dinner at the Star City territory. Meeting with experts and leaders of the Cosmonaut Training Centre. Photographing, getting your personal certificate. Transfer to the hotel. Transfer to the Moscow International airport «Sheremetevo».

 

Tour «The Original Astronaut Training for land survival» includes:

- visa support;

- permission for entry and visiting the Cosmonaut Training Centre (the Star City) and the Chkalovsky –Airbase;

- meeting/departure at the Moscow International airport «Sheremetevo»;

- transfer airport – hotel - airport;
