"Golden Ring" is the name of a 700-kilometer long bus route starting in Moscow and passing through old large and small towns, distinguished by their great historical and architectural values. Tourists are virtually immersed in Russia's history as they visit gold domed cathedrals and monasteries, dating back as far as the 12th century. The great number of unique monuments, the variety of museums, art galleries and souvenir shops is amazing. Each town has a charm of its own, giving the visitor a feel of Russian provincial life and local hospitality.
We would like to offer you a 2-day tour. Although it is a short Golden Ring bus tour, you would be able to see some of the most prominent places such as Sergiev Posad, famous for prominent painters, wood-carvers and toy-makers. You would be able to see Trinity-St Sergius Laura - one of the ancient and most revered Russian monasteries, a historic center of Russian Orthodoxy. You would see a picturesque group of buildings in the Trinity-St.Sergius Laura, which also is in a very lovely setting.
You would travel to Alexander Sloboda - famous for the Old Kremlin of Russian tsars - that is considered to be one of the most beautiful ancient fortresses in the country.
Finally, enter the oldest city of Golden Ring - Pereslavl-Zalessky. It was founded by Prince Yuri Dolgorukov. You will see the lake Plesheevo where Peter the Great started producing the ships. Many beautiful monasteries can be seen when you travel there.
