Itinerary for Sergiev Posad - Chernigovsky skete - Alexander Sloboda - Pereslavl-Zalessky

Day 1.

Our company representative will meet you at about 8.00 a.m. Then your Golden Ring tour in Russia starts. On the way to Sergiev Posad, you will be briefed on the tour itinerary. On arrival, you will have an excursion at the world renown Holy Trinity Monastery (also called St. Sergey Lavra). This monastery is sometimes called the "Russian Vatican," and is now a religious centre. It is also well-known for its wonderful architecture and the Rublov wall paintings.

During the excursion you will see Chernigovsky Skete only 4 km from Holy trinity monastery. Afterwards you can take a break and we will organize lunch for you in Sergiev Posad.

Once more on your tour bus, you will be driven to Aleksandrov. There, you can see the place where Ivan the Terrible used to live. We shall also prepare a folklore program; you will be met as if you were a tsar and then you will eat and see the performance of marriage brokerage.

At the end of the day, you will be taken back to the Pereslavl-Zalessky hotel, check-in and enjoy some free time.

Day 2.

You will have breakfast at the hotel after which we will drive you to the city of Alexander Nevsky’s Pereslavl-Zalessky. You will have the chance to look at Goritsky Monastery and Assumption Cathedral with bell tower and museum of "Peter Boat". Then you will have lunch in the local area and continue you bus trip by visiting Nikitsky Monastery, archeological Kleshin complex, Alexander’s hill, Plesheevo lake and "Blue Stone" that used to have sacrifices made to Pagan Gods.

On completion of the tour we will take you back to Moscow.
