Day 1. Vladimir – Bogolubovo
You will meet our company representative in your Moscow hotel (at approximately at 9 a.m.). Then you will be driven to Vladimir, one of the oldest Russian cities that used to be the capital of Russia. Once started on your Golden Ring of Russia bus tour, briefed on the travel itinerary. When you arrive in Vladimir you will have the lunch in one of the city’s top restaurants. There you will have the chance to try Russian traditional food and listen to folk music.
Continuing your travel in Russia you will have the sightseeing tour of Vladimir. During the bus trip you will have a chance to see the masterpieces of Russian architecture of XII century - The Golden Gates, the Assumption and St. Demetrius Cathedral. You will be able to see the best works of the prominent icon artist Andrei Rublev. You will also visit the museum of Crystal. Then you will be taken to Bogolubovo, a former residence of Prince Andrei Bogolubov which is situated on the high bank of the former river of Klyazma. It's 14 km from Vladimir. There you will be able to have a look at the Church Pokrov-on-Nerl (also called Church of the Intercession on the Nerl).
We will take you to the hotel in Vladimir for check-in. Then you will have some free time. Later, we will organize dinner, where you can hear the violin being playing and see traditional Russian decorum.
Day 2. Suzdal
Breakfast at the hotel and then meet with our company rep at the hotel. Then you will have a bus tour around Suzdal. During this golden Ring bus tour you will see architectural monuments and other sights , which are now protected by UNESCO world heritage. You will explore the Suzdal Kremlin and St. Euphimius monastery. You will see the exhibitions of Old Icons, frescos made by the well-known Guri Nikitin in Saviour’s Transfiguration Cathedral and white stone Nativity Cathedral. This tour lasts about 3 hours.
After the Golden Ring tour, you will have lunch in a city restaurant and then continue your tour. You will be driven 4km east of Suzdal to Kideksha. There, we have one of the earliest monuments of Vladimir-Suzdal, a white stone architecture called St. Boris and St. Gleb church. You will also travel around the city and see a number of churches and other historical sights.
Your tour will finish with a snack and then we will return you to Moscow.
