Retro - cars Museum

Here is a great chance for you to visit a museum which could be called a time machine. You will plunge into an atmosphere of the past during the time when the car was an unprecedented innovation, an object of luxury and pride. You will have chance to touch these things from the past, and refresh your childhood memories and to fly away into your chilhood dream.

The museum of retro cars has been collecting its unique exhibits for 40 years. There are 130 retro cars and motorcycles in the museum. The exhibitions will describe the evolution of technical thought in automobile production. Among the most interesting displays you may see is the motorcycle "Pezho," made in 1914. French military left this motorcycle in Archangelsk in 1918. You will see a "Chaika" GAZ-13 (1977), which was gifted to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Plimen by L. Brezhnev – the former General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Many cars from this collection took part in different movies and it is possible to take pictures of all of them.

The Museum’s goal is the protection of technical antiques. Only very recently has our society started to understand how, shamefully, during all those Soviet years, we barbarically and systematically destroyed amazing samples of technical innovation, some of which represents not just technical value, but true art value as well.

The tour takes approximately 2 hours.
